We’re currently seeking a distinguished project engineer to join our team. This person must be an outstanding communicator, exceptional leader, and even better strategist. The project engineer will ultimately be responsible for maintaining our standards of excellence and delivering projects with the utmost attention to safety and quality. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on multiple tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks’ completion.

 

Objectives of this role:

  • Maximize project efficiency and profitability
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Understand the project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion
  • Gain construction knowledge and become an all-around builder

 

Responsibilities:

  • Main responsibility is document control. Requesting and processing of all submittals, creating and updating submittal procurement log, RFI’s and RFI log, processing of ASI’s and CCD’s
  • Create and manage project closeout including As-Builts, Attic Stock, Equipment Training and Warranty
  • Create and manage QA/QC program to manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within parameters of company policy
  • Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
  • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines

 

Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field or Bachelor’s Degree withConstruction Management Certificate
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a natural talent for organization and a keen eye for meticulous attention to detail

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
